Overview
The Launch Pad lists every Beeswax business you belong to. From here you can switch between them, start a new business account, or (if you have none) create a Hive profile.
To open it, click your user menu in the top-right corner and choose Launch Pad.
Your Businesses
Each business has its own Beeswax account, with its own projects, invoices, expenses and settings. You keep one login across all of them, but your role and permissions are set separately in each one, so you might be the Owner of your own business and a Manager in someone else's.
Each card on the Launch Pad shows:
- The business's logo (or its name)
- Your Role in that business
- Its plan and when the subscription renews, or when its trial ends
- How many Active Projects it has
- How much Storage it is using
- The team members
Click a card to switch to that business.
Some cards look different:
- Trial Expired — the free trial has ended. Select a Plan to carry on.
- Account Cancelled — the subscription has been cancelled. You keep access until the date shown.
- New Beeswax Account — setup was started but not finished. Continue Account Setup to finish it.
Creating a New Account
Click New Account in the toolbar to set up another business. This opens the setup wizard: choose your region, set up your accounting (financial year end and tax reporting period), and enter your business name. Beeswax then creates your starter chart of accounts, tax codes, products and services, a sample client and supplier, and My First Project, and starts your free trial.
Invitations
When someone invites you to their business, you get an email. Accept the invitation from the email, and the business appears on your Launch Pad.
No Business? Your Options
If you don't belong to any business yet (for example, you're new to Beeswax, or a business you were part of has been cancelled), the Launch Pad shows your options instead:
Start a Beeswax Account
Click Create Account to set up a business account with project management, invoicing, time tracking and more. You start with a free trial.
Create a Profile
Click Create Profile to join the Hive as a freelancer, sole trader or contractor. You don't need a business account for this: you can showcase your skills, set your rates, and receive messages from potential clients.
See All Options
Click See all options to see every path, including Find Talent for browsing the Hive as a client.
Lost Access to a Business?
If you were a team member of a Beeswax business and its subscription has expired or been cancelled, it may no longer appear on your Launch Pad. This is normal: when a business's trial expires, its team members (other than the owner) are removed.
Your own Beeswax login is not affected. You can still:
- Create a Hive profile to showcase your work as a freelancer
- Create your own account to start a new business
- Accept invitations to other Beeswax businesses
Your personal data, login and any personal Hive profile you have created stay as they are, whatever happens to a business you were part of.
