A connected MCP assistant can help you plan the move, inspect Beeswax records and investigate differences. Use Beeswax’s Xero import wizard to select bank, income and expense accounts, contacts and products, preview the changes and confirm their transfer.
Agree a separate approach for transaction history, opening balances and unpaid documents; the wizard does not import those. Keep source reports for comparison and review each transfer result together. The current Beeswax MCP tools do not start the import wizard; connection and confirmation happen in Beeswax.

2. Preview before committing
Connect Xero, select bank, income and expense accounts, contacts and products and review the import preview. Confirm only when the scope looks right. Check the result for partial imports or failures.
3. Check the numbers together
Once your separately agreed transaction and balance transfer is complete, compare the resulting balances and outstanding invoices and expenses with your source reports. Use an assistant to investigate differences, then review the evidence with the person responsible for the books.
4. Set up the everyday work
Check document numbering, account mappings, team permissions and bank connections. Agree how receipts arrive, tasks are assigned and exceptions are reviewed.
5. Choose when to change over
Xero can stay connected in setup mode without sending invoices and expenses until the owner chooses Go live. Agree where new records and payments will be entered, and what will sync, so running both does not become doing everything twice.
